OpenHPSDR Hermes/ANAN-* Ethernet and IP Addresses for absolute network Newbies, simplified.

The OpenHPSDR Hermes-ANAN-10/Hermes-ANAN-100/Angelia-ANAN-100D radios are designed to work via Ethernet on a "Local Area Network" or "LAN". Ethernet simplifies the installation, and configuration of hardware

and software on a PC, making the installation basically plug and play. No sound card interface wiring, no Firewire cards or drivers, no USB ports on drivers needed.

How simple does it get?  This simple:
    1.  For the most basic network, you don't need any external hardware other than a CAT5 or CAT6 cable between your OpenHPSDR Hermes/ANAN-* LAN port and your computer's LAN port.
    2.  Done.  Nothing more to do.  Everything just works, but it may take a while to connect each time unless you assign static IP addresses.

Ok, how do I hook my brand new OpenHPSDR Hermes/ANAN-* to my home WiFi (wireless network) router?
    1.  Connect a CAT5 or CAT6 cable between the OpenHPSDR Hermes/ANAN-* LAN port and a free LAN port on your Linksys/Belkin/NetGear/DLink 802.11n wireless router.
    2.  Done.  Nothing more to do.  Everything just works.

Great, but can I use my home WiFi router with PowerSDR to access my OpenHPSDR Hermes/ANAN-* on my LAN?
    1.  Yes, but you may have to use PC resources for Mic and Speaker audio.
    2.  No wiring required but "Virtual Audio Card" software interface is required.
        a.  Available from http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm
    2.  PTT and CW keying is only available at the radio.
    3.  VOX or keyboard commands can be used to key the radio.
    4.  PowerSDR provides a CW keyboard.
    5.  802.11n wireless recommended.

Can I access my OpenHPSDR Hermes/ANAN-* via the Internet?
    1.  Teamviewer works and its free.
        a. http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx
    2.  Skype recommended for receive and transmit audio and its free too.
        a.  http://www.skype.com/en/
    3.  Can use Android tablet, Laptop, or Desktop to access your radio.
    4.  Need transmit timeout timer to cease transmitting if Internet connection lost while transmitting.
        a.  DDUTIL?

What hardware do I need besides PowerSDR, and the OpenHPSDR Hermes/ANAN-10 to operate digital modes such as PSK31, Olivia, Rtty etc.
    1.  No wiring or external hardware required but "Virtual Audio Card" software interface is required.
        a.  Available from http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm
